Smartfood Waste software for food waste control introduces artificial intelligence into kitchens
Smart software to combat food waste
Inno4Food, the division of the Soleti Group specialising in applications for the Horeca channel, has developed the Smartfood Waste software which helps to reduce food waste by means of artificial intelligence. Through a camera with image recognition technology and an integrated weight scale, it records the waste and provides analysable data in order to minimise the waste.
The leftover food that reaches the kitchen is weighed and photographed. The camera recognises the food and identifies the source of the waste. The data are sent to the online dashboard, in such a way that the user can see what is being discarded, when and in what amounts.
Analysis of all the information means decisions can be made and measures can be taken to reduce food loss. The software helps to track the changes and review their impact so that any improvements can be implemented.
By means of the Smartfood software, Inno4Food helps companies in the Horeca channel to optimise their comprehensive traceability. It can identify and inventory the products, control their temperature, the secondary expiry dates and the allergen content, determine their location in the warehouse, perform hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP), etc.
